About
Hello, I am Prakhar Srivastav⌗
I’ve been building software for close to 20 years, from enterprise integrations to cloud-native platforms.
I started in 2007 with integrations on WebLogic and Oracle Service Bus. Since then I’ve worked as a developer, tech lead and architect across payments, cybersecurity and consulting. The common thread has been distributed systems: services, queues, and data that has to move reliably between them.
Go is my favourite language. Most of what I’ve written on my blog and GitHub is Go: worker pools, rate limiting, SAGA orchestration, TLS and secrets management. I’ve also shipped Java, Python and PHP, and I’ve dabbled in Rust.
Most of that work has been cloud-native, on GCP, Azure, OCI and AWS, with Kubernetes and Kafka. I also care about knowing what a system is actually doing. I’ve worked with tracing since 2018, from Jaeger and Zipkin back then to OpenTelemetry and the Grafana ecosystem today.
Claude Code is part of my daily work, and I treat it like any other system I depend on. I write my own skills for it, track what it costs, and report bugs when it doesn’t behave the way the docs say. I also try other harnesses, like OpenCode and oh-my-pi, to see how they handle context and tools.
Some projects are just for fun, like reading the Bluetooth traffic between the Anki Overdrive app and its toy race cars.
Today I’m CTO at Tvimenning, where we work with energy data. My very first integrations were for a power company, so in a way I’m back where I started.
